The client in this design quest already had a great image of a ballerina which I traced. To give the logo more dimension, I added a shadow behind the image and went with a gold and silver theme.
Once again, the goal of any graphic artist should be to meet the design expectations of a client. The design brief, and 2 suggestions from this client achieved that end.
They loved the silhouette idea!
The client wanted to include the alpha flag which is used by divers. A military/tactical concept was the goal here also…
Entering online design contests has definitely sharpened my design skills. Aside from an experimental aspect which expands my conceptual horizons, competing with other outstanding designers always gives me ideas for new techniques.
